Olive attended Northeastern University and Rutgers University, where she studied biology while excelling in her writing-intensive classes.

Professionally, she’s spent most of her career at a fragrance material research company, where she first started out editing research papers, communications content, and chemical safety assessments. As an editor, she prides herself on having a keen eye for detail, ensuring clarity and precision in every piece. Gradually, her role evolved into a more writing-intensive one, translating complex scientific jargon into engaging, easily digestible content for a non-specialist audience. This work ignited her passion for science communication, inspiring her to pursue it further across a variety of companies and topics. She became determined to help others understand and appreciate the science that shapes our world.
